iKonMac's Active Harmonic Filter (AHF) is an advanced power electronics device designed to dynamically monitor and compensate for harmonic distortion in electrical systems. Harmonics are unwanted voltage or current waveforms that deviate from the fundamental frequency, typically caused by non-linear loads such as variable frequency drives (VFDs), UPS systems, and industrial automation equipment.

By injecting counteracting currents in real time, Active Harmonic Filters effectively eliminate harmonics, improve power factor, and correct load imbalances. Unlike traditional passive filters, Active Harmonic Filters are programmable, fast-responding, and adaptable, making them ideal for modern power systems where loads are constantly changing.

As the biggest Active Harmonic Filter Manufacture in china, we enhance the stability, efficiency, and lifespan of electrical equipment, while helping businesses comply with IEEE-519 and other harmonic standards. They are widely used in commercial buildings, data centers, manufacturing plants, and renewable energy applications.

  • Compensate 2-50th Harmonics.
  • Prevent Malfunctions & Measurement Errors
  • Minimize Resonance & Fault Risk
  • Extend Cable Lifespan THDi < 5%
  • Eliminate Electromagnetic Interference
  • Ensure Compliance & Avoid Shutdowns

The design features a layered structure, separating the electronic and power components. The electronic layer, rated IP54 (IP65 Customizable), ensures insulation, moisture, and dust protection, while the power layer is fan-cooled. With Class 3 pollution resistance, the module suits harsh environments like saline, humid, dusty, and corrosive conditions.

iKonMac’s Active Harmonic Filter uses the seventh generation IGBT. At the same time reducing switching loss by one-third and with parallel interleaving technology achieving an effective switching frequency of 80kHz. This challenges the control algorithm, as the main control chip needs to complete a PWM calculation within 1/80k=12.5us.

Most manufacturers use DSP combined with CPLD or FPGA, but DSP’s single-core serial processing can’t meet the high switching frequency of the seventh generation IGBT. We use an all FPGA control chip, with 8 million logic gates in the calculation program, equivalent to 16 parallel-running hardware CPU units.

Noise impacts user experience and comes from heat dissipation and reactor currents. Reduces losses, adds temperature monitoring, and adjusts fan speed to lower fan noise. With an 80kHz switching frequency—far above the common 20kHz—it also cuts reactor noise, keeping module noise below 60dB, versus the industry standard of 70dB.

Cuts loss by 1/3, while a 80kHz switching frequency and interleaved parallel technology reduce inductance to 1/4 of similar products, further lowering losses. As a result, maintains losses below 2.5%, compared to 3.5% in domestic products.

For Active Harmonic Filter, reliability comes from voltage and temperature resistance. iKonMac’s AHF/SVG can run at full load in 55°C environments, thanks to the seventh-generation IGBT, which reduces loss and temperature rise, and the layered design that ensures effective heat dissipation and protection for the electronic layer.

An Intelligent startup mode in the software to effectively avoid resonance points and protect the device’s normal operation, enhancing product reliability. This allows the product to be used in more challenging electrical environments.

iKonMac’s Active Harmonic Filter adopts a standard modular design with an efficient layout and high power density. For a 800x800 standard cabinet, its capacity can reach 800A or 675kvar.
